There are different types of Therapeutic Music sessions. In fact, there are many reasons to use my services in a clinical setting;

*To aid the process of making transition.

*Palliative or Comfort Care

*To relieve pain

*To regulate normal body rhythms

*Relaxation and stress reduction

*Lower blood pressure

*In Memory Care or Dementia Units to bring familiar music to the here and now

*In stressful situations, the music also helps the family members and the caregivers

*The sessions are most beneficial when I am able to sit with the residents for at least 30 minutes. This gives them a chance to actively listen to the music, rather than passively.  It allows the music to do it's job with the body functions.. I do not engage the client when playing, I watch very carefully and change the music as the situation changes. This is why live music is so much more beneficial than recordings. As the condition evolves, so does the music. My music is a part of the mainstream treatment plan already in place for the client.

Book appointments for your "Special Events" .  These are the times when I get to interact with my clients and have a little fun with them.  For the larger rooms, such as a large dining room, I bring in a small amplifier and the volume is boosted enough to hear the harp in the back of the room.  If there is a celebration, as they say Have harp will travel.  examples of special events:

"Happy Hour"

Banquets

Mother's Day

Holiday Celebrations

Any special occasions

Any event you want to make special.

If you want to give the gift of music to someone to relieve stress, or just to make them feel good, and escape the world for a time I accommodate that as well. Many times just freeing your mind from daily activity and relaxing with harp music cam make all the difference in the world.
